This Quaint Yorkshire Country Pub Has Been Named Best Sunday Roast In The UK

We love a good roast here at The Yorkshireman. Not that that should come as a surprise to any Yorkshire folk out there. There is nothing quite like a gravy-soaked dinner to make you feel whole – and there has been a fair few of them over the Christmas period let us tell you.

It comes as no surprise to us that three Yorkshire restaurants made the Roast Top 10 List for 2023 via the social media channel @RateGoodRoasts, who were clearly impressed by what God’s Own Country had to offer.

The Highest ranking Sunday roast was The Abbey Inn, in Byland which took first place, which had a fantastic 97% rating. It’s a fantastic country pub in the North York Moors by Tommy Banks. It scored 10 out 10 for most parts including Yorkshire puddings, sides, meats, vegetables and of course gravy.
