Yorkshire is full of water-based beauty. From stunning lakes, reservoirs and rivers, to the most impressive waterfalls (usually found on the aforementioned rivers. And two of its waterfall walks, of which there are many, have been named in a list of the most impressive in the UK.
One has become synonmous withe famous Robin Hood: Prince of Theives film, which only maybe are older readers will remember. And, another of the waterfall fall walks featured in the list has several to enjoy. Each make for the perfect excuse to get your walking boots on and get exploring.
Hardraw Force Waterfall Walk

First on the list is Hardraw Force, located behind our favourite pub the Green Dragon Inn. If you’re looking for being very impressed, but only want to walk 10 minutes then this is the waterfall walk for you. Obviously, with GO Outdoors being a outdoors magazine, they’ve offered up a longer more rewarding hike, that takes in more of the fantastic Yorkshire Dales. It’s just shy of seven miles and takes in all the Hawes area has to offer and says you should give yourself around 3:20 hours.
It’s worth noting that Hardraw Force is a 100ft tall and is the highest single-drop waterfall in England. So, well worth making the trek, if you want to see one of Yorkshire’s true gems.
Ingleton Waterfall Trail

Next is the Ingleton Waterfall Trail, another fantastic offering in the Yorkshire Dales that takes in many amazing waterfalls including Pecca Falls and the most famous of them all, Thornton Force, an impressive 45ft waterall over a limestone cliff. The route is family-friendly and the ideal family day out.
