Here at The Yorkshireman, we’ve battened down the hatches already and are ready for a cosy Christmas inside. But one thing we’ll need our fix of? The beautiful Yorkshire countryside.
Gracing our television screens all December long, we’ve put together the ultimate guide of Yorkshire Christmas films and TV shows to enjoy this festive season – from life on the farm, to our favourite Yorkshire dramas.
1. A Very Yorkshire Christmas

A Very Yorkshire Christmas is definitely a guilty pleasure in this house, following American Opera singer Jessica (Rachel Shenton), who accidentally ends up in Knaresborough after missing her flight and falling asleep on a train.
There, she discovers a whole new world she never knew she could fit into. But is love on the cards? We won’t spoil it for you, but if you’re a fan of All Creatures, you’ll love this.
When’s it on?
You can watch it on the My5 app or Prime Video.
2. All Creatures Great & Small Christmas Special

Channel 5’s hit remake of All Creatures Great and Small is back for another Christmas special, picking up the story where it left off and following as James and co. enjoy a Christmas in the Dales.
War is over and the gang is back together, but will love continue to be in the air for Tristan? Or even for Sigfried?
When’s it on?
9pm, 24th December – Channel 5
3. The Yorkshire Vet at Christmas

The team at The Yorkshire Vet did not grace our screens for Christmas this year, but we were treated to a festive special with The Greens. Christmas with The Greens picks up with the show’s beloved duo, who are aiming to bring Thirsk it’s best Christmas yet in the special.
When’s it on?
7pm, December 24th – Channel 5

4. Father Christmas Is Back

Starring Liz Hurley and Kelsey Grammer, Father Christmas Is Back follows four sisters – who’ve all come together for the first time in a while in a stunning Yorkshire mansion.
Expect plenty of drama, comedy and sights of Birdsall House and Howden. This one’s definitely pretty cheesy, but if you’re stuck for something to watch, it’ll certainly do.

Streaming now on Netflix.
5. Tinsel Town

Keifer Sutherland and Rebel Wilson team up for a heartwarming Christmas movie about a Hollywood actor who’s forced to take up a job in England at a panto. But the job offers him so much more than a well-needed pay check.
It’s heartwarming, charming and funny with a great cast, just mind Rebel Wilson’s questionable Yorkshire accent.

6. Reuben Owen: Christmas in the Dales

Reuben Owen and his girlfriend Jess return to Channel 5 this festive season for a Christmas special in the Dales. The young couple plan their first Christmas together and enjoy a party with friends.
