If 2020’s the year of anything, it’s getting us back to nature. Even the most prudish of us Brits are swapping the beach attire for the cagoules. And catching our eyes like no other this week is the stunning Red Kite campsite nestled in the heart of Wales… While it’s not Yorkshire, it’s an incredible experience, to say the least.
Suspended between the trees you’ll find two circular tents, propped up on woodland canopies with their very own bridges to enter via.
It won’t be camping as you know it either, with each tent kitted out with fresh bedding, towels and dry wood to use with the accompanying wood burner. Right outside on your private bridge, guests can use the wonderful outdoor kitchen where you can cook up a storm with the stunning nature surrounds – perfect for a romantic evening watching the sun go down.
It’s a spot of complete tranquility, with the nearest phone signal a ten minute walk away – meaning no Facebook, no group chats – just you, your loved one and nature. Sounds good til you remember your partner chats absolute shit, I suppose.
Nearby, guests can take part in brilliant woodland walks that are home to cosy local pubs, with beautiful Elan Valley and Builth Wells close by to explore, too.
The tents can be booked together for group getaways, or singularly if you fancy a romantic breakaway. To book or find out more, check it out here.
