As we enjoy the return of All Creatures Great and Small series 3, a famous Yorkshireman is set to make an episode in series 3. Jim Moir, otherwise known as Vic Reeves is set to appear as Jeff Mallock, the local Darrowby knacker’s yard owner.
Vic Reeves, Jim’s alter-ego, made up one half of the famous comedy duo Vic Reeves & Bob Mortimer. Bob, you’ll know from his amazing fishing programme with Paul Whitehouse, Gone Fishing.

This Thursday will see Jim’s character lean on James to fiddle some paperwork over a dead cow for financial gains.
Set in the Yorkshire Dales, for those who haven’t seen it, Channel 5’s All Creatures Great and Small is a reboot of the 1970s classic based on Alf Wight, a Thirsk vet’s best-selling novels.

This series is set in the spring of 1939 the months before WWII and war is an underlying theme of the series. But it’s not all doom and gloom as James Herriot finally walked fiancee Helen down the aisle.
James’ new stake in the business and eagerness to partake in the government’s practice to test tuberculosis in cattle could put him at odds with farmers in the area.
Don’t miss Jim Moir’s appearance as Jeff Mallock this Thursday on Channel 5 at 9pm with catch-up on My5.
