Mortimer & Whitehouse Are Back For The New Series Of Hit show ‘Gone Fishing’

Comedians Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse are back with their popular heart-healthy show Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing series 5. They are back with more of their funny antics, deep talks, and of course fishing.

The show has proven a huge hit with fans who have taken the cockney Paul Whitehouse and the Yorkshire-born Middlesborough lad Bob Mortimer. Serene locations, great chat and wholesome content have proven the order of the day with the British public who are excited about more fishing and banter.

Who knew there was something addictive about binge-watching Fast Show sketch show star Whitehouse teach longtime friend and fellow comedian Bob Mortimer how to fish? The downright silly conversation and beautiful scenery make for the perfect antidote in an otherwise stressful time.

Bob Mortimer posted to his Instagram announcing the new series which starts on the 9th of September so not long to wait. In the video, Mortimer can be seen in a hot tub but he’s swapped the champagne with sausage & bovril – obviously.

Fans were quick to express their excitement for the new series with one person writing: “my shoulders immediately relaxed just seeing this”.

Another person wrote: “can’t come soon enough” – to which we couldn’t agree. Well, starting on the 9th gives us just enough time to rewatch Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing series 4. Not that they follow on from each other, but any excuse…

Bob, appears on popular panel shows such as Would I Lie To You and is famous for being part of one of the greatest comedic duos of all time with long-time pal Vic Reeves, and his childlike view of the world compliments Whitehouses more subtle and serious personality.
