You won’t want to miss out on Lidl’s latest offering. The budget supermarket has unveiled its very own big red Christmas cola truck that is set to tour the UK. Based on the Lidl own-brand Freeway cola drink the truck could be coming to a city near you.
The big red cola truck is set to visit nine cities across the UK starting from the 14th of November. Two of its stops are in Yorkshire as its set to visit East Yorkshire’s Hull and the Spa town of Harrogate. The full list of stops can be seen below!
Each stop will see Lidl give away over 2,000 present boxes, food shops and food samples. Not only that visitors can also submit a Christmas with and Lidl says it will grant a select few.
The Mirror reported that Joanna Gomer, Marketing Director at Lidl GB, said: “Giving back to the communities we serve is really important to us and our exciting new Freeway truck allows us to get right into the heart of them this year.
“By touring nine stops across the country, we’ll be using our giant truck to hand out present boxes, give away festive food shops and grant wishes that will make dreams come true. Look out for the Freeway truck on its tour and most importantly, come join the fun.”
The news comes as Coca-Cola announces their 2024 Christmas Truck tour which aims to spread cheer with FareSahre, the country’s largest charity in fighting food waste and hunger.
