Yorkshire is fast becoming a hot spot for TV and film production filming locations – and we love it. From local set shows such as Happy Valley and All Creatures Great and Small to Hollywood blockbusters such as Mission:Impossible, Indiana Jones and more – it’s great to see Yorkshire used as a backdrop.
The latest to feature on the tele new Netflix show Fool Me Once featuring Michelle Keegan. Keegan was seen filming in Halifax last month for the show.
Crews were spotted in the Burdock Way area near Orange Street roundabout in Halifax’s town centre. According to Halifax Courier, the scene involved sports cars.
Back in May the 35-year-old was spotted filming scenes in Manchester with a film crew following her as she looked downcast in a Burberry coat.
Michelle Keegan, known for her roles in Coronation Street and Brassic, features in the new crime drama along side Richard Armitage, Adeel Akhtar and Joanna Lumley.
The show is an adaptation from a book by Harlan Coben. It follows Michelle Keegan’s character Maya Starn, a ofrmer special ops pilot, as she comes to terms with the brutal murder of her husband Joe, played by Richard Armitage.
The story takes a twist when she spots a familiar face in her house on the nana cam, her supposedly dead husband playing with her baby daughter.
Adeel Akhtar’s character Detective Sergeant Sami Kierce leads the homicide investigation into Joe’s death, whilst he grapples with his own secrets.
And if that wasn’t enough Maya’s niece and nephew, Abby and Daniel are trying to find out the truth about their mother’s muder several months earlier. The question is, could the two be linked some how?
Speaking on the announcement of the series, Harlan Coben said: “I’m thrilled and honoured to once again be collaborating with my uber-talented partners Danny, Nicola and Richard. ‘Fool Me Once’ will be our fourth Netflix series [following ‘Safe,’ ‘The Stranger’ and ‘Stay Close’] together, and man, it never gets old!
“‘Fool Me Once’ is a pulse-pounder — a shocking story of how secrets and deceit have the power to bring people together while simultaneously tearing them apart. I can’t wait to see how this dream cast brings these characters to life.”
