The Yorkshire Shepherdess, Amanda Owen, has been doing the round on a few chat shows this week to promote the paperback version of her book, Celebrating The Seasons, which is a part-memoir-part-cookery book. Whilst on the Jeremy Vine Show the Our Yorkshire Farm star spoke candidly about the sad break-up from her husband clive.
The Yorkshire Shepherdess, Amanda announced the news of her and Clive’s divorce back in June and admitted to Jeremy Vine that the break-up has been a “release of pressure”.

A statement was released at the time which read: “Clive and I are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate. This hasn’t been easy, but we both believe it’s the right choice for the future of our family.
“Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together, with our number one priority the happiness and well-being of our children.
The Owen family shot to fame with their Channel 5 show, which follows their day-to-day lives up on the 2,000-acre farm, Ravenseat in the Yorkshire Dales. We’ve had five feel-good series from Amanda, Clive and their nine children who’ve allowed us a glimpse into what it’s like up in’t the Dales – and we are eagerly waiting for news of the sixth series.

Jeremy asked how Amanda and Clive work together following their split and Amanda replied: “We have a child with chickenpox, Clemmie has chickenpox, and I have another one who has been ill – everything carries on because it has to.”
“You can’t have that amount of work on a farm and with the children and sort of meet at the weekend at McDonald’s for the handover. To be dead honest with you, coming out about it and speaking about it has been, for us personally, it’s been good.
“It’s been a release of pressure and at the end of the day, everything we have ever put out there on the television or on the books has been about reality. Do you know what? This is as much reality as anything.”
Appearing on Lorraine earlier in the week Amanda said: “It’s really tough and it’s a really difficult aspect of it to get across, but when you do reality [TV], it has to be just that. “
Not only that but the Yorkshire Shepherdess hinted at “new” and “exciting” projects in the future whilst chatting on Lorraine – and we can’t wait to find out what they are. Amanda has featured on a range of other shows such as her incredible feature in the Winter Walks series for BBC.
