Peter Kay began his massive new tour of the UK in Manchester this this month receiving a standing ovation before the show had even started. And, now he’s announced that he has a big surprise for fans coming this Thursday
Fans can expect to find out what Peter Kay’s surprise announcement might be on Sara Cox drivetime show at 6pm. The Bolton Comedian announced his massive tout which doesn’t finish until 2025 via the adverts on this year’s I’m A Celebrity – so we know he’s good with surprises.
He was moved to tears at his first shows of the tour when crowds at Manchester arena began chanting “Peter, Peter, Peter” as the Bolton comedian made his first stand-up performance in 12 years.

Posting to his Instagram the star wrote: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to the first shows in Manchester. It was incredible to be a part of such a happy experience.
“Everybody deserves a bit of joy. Here’s to a lot more in the shows to come!!”
He added a p.s on the end hinting at something big writing: “P.S big announcement Thursday on Sara Cox Drivetime Show just after 6pm.”
Fans were quick to guess what the surprise could be with one fan writing: “Please say car share coming back or a Xmas special at least”
One other person agreed writing: “Car Share????? Oh please say it is”.
It was rumoured last year that Peter might once again don a beard as his iconic character Max along with friend Paddy Mcguinness for a new series of Max & Paddy, which would be out of this world.
But, with a mammoth tour to complete, that may be asking too much from the UK’s number-one comedian.
