Things are about to get magical as Yorkshire most enchanted entrepreneurs are set to take on the Dragons on the popular BBC show Dragon’s Den where they hope to entice Peter Jackson and the gang to invest in the new magical golf courses.
The original magical Harry Potter-inspired golf course can be found in the old Patisserie Valerie venue in the city centre on Coppergate. Phil Pinder and Ben Fry dreamed up the concept and brought it to life back in 2020 and it has gone from strength to strength,
The York Harry Potter mini golf course Hole In Wand is made up of nine magical holes that will challenge you along with transporting you into the wizarding world.

The course features wizard-themed holes throughout the course, with sets taking inspiration from the movies and including a few easter eggs along the way. We’ve tried it a few times and it’s a magical trip where you can enjoy a butterbeer or two at the end aloneg with some fantastic snacks.
A new hole was recently added a new hole to the Hole In Wand course inspired by the Forbidden Forest found at Hogwarts School for witchcraft and wizardry.

Not only do they own the magical golf course, which can also be found in York and Blackpool, but the pair also have a mesmerising wizard The Potions Cauldron shop packed with butterbeer, chocolate frogs & glittering potions found on the historic cobbles of The Shambles, the mysterious shop embodies all things magical – bringing an air of Hogsmeade to the medieval city.
