Yorkshire ‘Rate My Takeaway’ YouTuber To Open New Foodhall in Yorkshire

A new Rate My Takeaway food hall by YouTube sensation Danny Malin is set to open in Yorkshire. Malin has over 700k followers on the popular streaming channel. Visiting a range of food outlets across Yorkshire, he definitely knows his stuff so we are excited about this one.

Huddersfield’s Packhorse Shopping Centre features a dedicated service for bloggers. The Rate My Takeaway Kitchen is expected to launch in September, though the exact date is still to be confirmed. The food hall will host five permanent vendors alongside five rotating ones, offering a diverse selection of street food.

Additionally, the venue will feature a custom-built social media booth, allowing visitors to record and share their own food reviews online. Danny has also planned various events, including celebrity meet-and-greets, to celebrate and promote the creative street food scene with this exciting new venture.

Yorkshire Live reported that, Danny said: “It’s been years in the pipeline and finally we can announce that the very first Rate My Takeaway Kitchen will open this summer. Expect trending treats, meet and greets and a banging atmosphere. Me, the cameraman and t’old editor have hand-picked some of the best street food vendors to sell their grub, all tried and tested by us.”

Explaining the ethos behind the food hall with the inclusion of the social media booth, Danny said: “It’s been an honour to see how our reviews have helped so many independents. Often by us doing a video on their food it has helped to save their business or tripled their profit. It’s tough running a food business in this climate but there’s a real buzz about the creative street food scene.”

Discussing the new project he said: “We chose Huddersfield because we see great potential in The Packhorse and the town centre as a foodie destination. It’s a thriving town with students, entrepreneurs and a range of visitors passing through the town centre.

“We want to ensure people from near and far head to Huddersfield. It’s an exciting but busy time and we couldn’t have done it without the solid ten team at The Packhorse.”

There will also be a licensed bar on site and takeaway and delivery options via Just Eat.
