Clarkson’s Farm was the gift that kept on giving when it hit our screens earlier this year. With its mix of Classic Clarkson humour and highlighting issues affecting modern-day farming, it had us all hooked from the first episode. Jeremy knew there was one person to thank at the British Farming award and he was quick to gush about Kaleb saying ‘You are the star of Clarkson’s Farm’.
Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson thanked Clarkson’s Farm Kaleb Cooper as the pair picked up a price for raising awareness of British farming at the British Farming Awards. The Nation took to Kaleb, as soon as he opened his mouth and let Clarkson have it for one of his cock-ups.
Doncaster-born Jeremy and Kaleb, who struck up an unlikely friendship, despite the 40 year age difference and, were hailed by farmers for shining a light on the brutal issues facing the industry in the amazing Amazon Prime series, which has been picked up for a second season.
Last night, the response to their award was huge with their peers giving them a massive round of applause which both were taken aback by.
Speaking to us co-star, Jeremy said: “Kaleb I couldn’t have done this without you.
“You are the star of the show (apart from Gerald) but what was great and I’m sure everyone in the room would say the same thing, every farm has a Gerald, every farm has a Charlie, every farm has a Kevin, every farm has an Ellen, every farm has a landowner and every farm has a Kaleb.”
Clarkson’s Farm follows Clarkson as he and his other workers Gerald, Kaleb and more looking after livestock and growing crops. It takes a no-holes-bared look at the industry, which is why they were given this award.
