Don’t worry, South Yorkshire folk! If you prefer to avoid the traffic heading to the coast, the Summer Beach Club has returned to Meadowhall, offering a whole host of rides and activities to kick off the holidays.
You and your kids can celebrate summer in South Yorkshire with a packed schedule full of fun. From an AquaSplash water park and theme park to a Beach Retreat and a 1,000 sqm beach, there’s something for everyone. And if that wasn’t enough, there are also brand-new roller coasters and rides.

Enjoy family favourites such as waltzers, dodgems, and a helter-skelter, as well as other exciting new rides. Test your nerve on the Freak Out rollercoaster or try out the Race O Rama, where you can get behind the wheel of your favourite car and zoom around the track.
This year’s event also sees the arrival of the Mega Beach Slide, adding to the already popular three children’s pools and slides.

Fancy a More Chilled Experience?
For those searching for a more relaxing day out, The Beach Retreat has returned to offer the perfect place to unwind. Featuring the 1,000 sqm beach, live music, and a bar, it’s a great choice for those seeking a mouth-watering cocktail, mocktail, or ice-cold beer.
The fun continues well into the evening at the new After 6 Club, with its Live Lounge bringing the ultimate funk, soul, and summer vibes from a range of artists.

Darren Pearce, centre director at Meadowhall, said: “We’re hugely excited to officially open this year’s Summer Beach Club. When we announced the return of the event, we promised it would be bigger and better than ever – and the list of new rides and entertainment does just that!
“The beach club is designed to bring summer fun to Sheffield without people having to catch a flight, and we can’t wait to welcome families from across the region to enjoy everything it has to offer.”
When is it open and how much is it?
The Summer Beach Club will hold two sessions per week at reduced noise levels on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 pm – 6 pm to enable visitors who prefer a quiet environment to enjoy the experience.
Prices start from £2 for general admission, with free entry after 6 pm every day. If you’d like to find out more, head over to the website and book your tickets here.
