Our Yorkshire Farm‘s Amanda Owen, or the Yorkshire Shepherdess captured audiences by introducing them to another way of life up on Ravenseat Farm in the Yorkshire Dales.
Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen set for ‘new Channel 4 TV show’
Along with Clive and their nine children, they became the poster family for Channel 5 with their wholesome way of living that seems so separate from the technology-driven lives we lead and inspired a different way of living.
Since then the family have proven to be popular with fans following along on social channels and the success of Rueben Owen’s spin-off show Beyond The Yorkshire Farm, which we are waiting for an announcement for a second series.

Amanda Owen’s show earlier this year on More4 which highlighted farmers across the UK doing something different in the community was also a fantastic success and it seems Amanda has more on the horizon, to which we say a huge hurray!

The Sun reported that a source had said: “Channel 4 bosses very much saw the series as a test run of Amanda in a new setting and the response from audiences was good.”
“So they want to push ahead and make more shows with her as soon as possible including a show which they are about to announce.
“It will still link to her origins on Our Yorkshire Farm, as it will tap into the region where she was born and spent most of her life. It very much marks the next stage of her evolution on TV and is a reflection of how she’s become a star in her own right.”
This is music to our ears. Amanda originally hailed from Huddersfield, but is said to have spent her free time in the local library researching different ways to work with animals and found shepherding.
She spent time working on local farms before becoming a shepherdess in her early twenties, which is where she met Clive and a relationship blossomed.
A show that tells that tale would be music to our Yorkshire ears. In a world where so many people are chasing celebrity, it’s nice to see the humbler way of life being highlighted.
