There’s nothing better in this life than a decent fish & chips when the batter is light and crisp and the chips have a decent colour on them. It’s heaven. And, this year’s Good Food Awards has crowned these Yorkshire chippies the best in the UK.
Yorkshire has some of the freshest fish and chips with most places across the county being just a stone’s throw from the Yorkshire coast. Whether it’s a Friday night chippy tea or a naughty dinner they always go down a treat.
The Good Food Awards 2023 choose from a range of factors to decide which fish & chip shops will feature in the list. They look at things such as customer ratings, quality, service and value across Yorkshire’s towns and cities along with the rest of the country.
Chosen for their food quality, service and value, the Good Food Awards are given to those with high customer ratings and votes. Venues in major Yorkshire towns and cities have been included in the Good Food Awards 2023.
A spokesperson said: “Founded on independence and integrity, we have been delighting our readers and fans since 2002. Our unique awards, recognise those who strive for culinary excellence within their field.
“Our Good Food Awards are free to enter and entirely based on merit. With some 599,370 eating establishments within the UK, competition for our Good Food Awards was unsurprisingly tough.
“We were taken aback by the record number of entrants and votes cast by readers, customers and fans alike. It was heart-warming to see the support our winners received.”
