Two top Yorkshire hotels have featured in a prestigious list of the top 1,000 hotels across the world. Launched back in pairs in 2015, La Liste releases an annual list of the best restaurants and hotels for you to visit and Yorkshire made the cut.
Based on compiling thousands of publications, guidebooks and online reviews, and analysing data from over 400 international sources La Liste has unveiled 2025’s Top 1,000 World’s Best Hotels and Special Awards 2025 creating the ultimate guide for travelers seeking meaning, execellends and inspiration wherever they go.
Grantley Hall in Ripon and Grays Court Hotel and The Bow Room Restaurant in York have been included in the list of the best 1,000 hotels across the world featuring some of the most famous hotels from across the world.
Home to 47 luxurious bedrooms and suites, five exceptional restaurants including the Shaun Rankin Michelin star, also three stunning bars and an award-winning spa, Grantley Hall, the 17th-century estate is the height of luxury offering nestled in breathtakingly beautiful scenery on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.
Grays Court Hotel, one of the York’s luxurious hotels, can be found in the stunning historic city of York, and is itself a piece of history making it the most perfect boutique hotel found in the Minster quarter of the city. Take a stroll through the garden overlooked by the famous York walls before enjoying a stunning meal in The Bow Room Restaurant ‘here at Grays Court, ‘where culinary artistry meets unrivalled elegance.
We have to mention that the wonderful Rockliffe Hall in Darlington also featured in the top 1,000 in the world, just a stone’s throw from Yorkshire’s border also featured. It has to be one of the best places we’ve had the pleasure of visiting and well deserved.
