Bradford is in the midst of enjoying its year as City of Culture 2025, and a whole host of fantastic events and additions to the city have made it an exciting year. And, another exciting event that could have you feeling the heat in the UK’s curry capital is the World Curry Festival that is set to return to Bradford.
You can spice up your life whilst enjoying pop-up dinners, food markets, cookalongs, talks, tours and more in Bradford. If you’re one for spice, see yourself as a curry connoisseur, or just love a good ol’ curry, then this festival could be the highlight of the year for you.

You can expect a joyful fusion of food, culture and community in the two-week-long celebration of curry. That is said to be taking place from the 15th-30th Sep, 2025. Little has been announced about the festival yet, but hopefully it’s a date for the calendar, as it sounds like an absolute dream for us at The Yorkshireman, as our families love a good curry.
The festival is said to be opening in grand style with a black-tie gala that blends regal tradition with modern flair, offering guests a reimagined take on South Asian cuisine. The evening begins with a champagne reception offering spiced canapés, refined starters, slow-cooked mains, and a trio of imaginative desserts. Enjoy live entertainment, cultural storytelling, and an atmosphere of splendour befitting Bradford’s UK City of Culture celebrations.
Venues are more details have yet to be announced, so we wait with anticipation and will update as more information comes to light.
