Wensleydale Creamery Is Hiring For Cheese Makers & It Sounds Like The Dream Job

Sitting at your desk all day staring at a bright white screen really makes you wonder, is there more to life than this? It turns out there is, because you could actually be spending your day completely surrounded by cheese, glorious cheese all day long. And not just any cheese, by the way, we’re talking proper Yorkshire cheese from the Wensleydale Creamery.

Holding a recruitment drive ahead of the anticipated busy months of summer, the iconic Creamery is looking for talented folk to fill a number of roles, including… Wait for it… Cheese Makers!

A role that’s bound to be highly coveted, or at least you’d expect, the lucky candidates will get the opportunity to roll their sleeves up and get involved in an integral part of the business, following the Creamery’s traditional recipes that have been handed down from generation to generation and creating award-winning cheeses such as Yorkshire Cheddar, Wensleydale Blue and Kit Calvert Old-style Wensleydale.

If that wasn’t all, successful applicants will also get to try their hands at making new and innovative cheeses, which could well find themselves on the shop shelves. Full training will be provided, and all the recruiters ask is that applicants and passionate and motivated individuals. I don’t know about you, but we’re pretty damn passionate about cheese.

Additional roles currently up for grabs include a Chef de Partie, a Junior Sous Chef, bakers, and additional positions across retail, front of house and production.

Branching out across all areas of the business, each role will play a pivotal part of the Creamery’s ever-growing success – with training provided for all roles within the business.
