Cream Tea Tradition At Ravenseat Revived By Amanda Owen’s Daughter Edith

After a break, it seems that cream teas are back at Ravenseat Farm. We’ve been wanting to head back to the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and we might just have to enjoy some homemade scones and beautiful views at Ravenseat Farm once more. The farm is home to Amanda Owen and her family.

That’s right, you can enjoy a nice brew at the Owen family’s home, making it the perfect stop-off during one of the popular walks in the area. The family first featured on Channel 5’s Our Yorkshire Farm and now appears in Channel 4’s Our Farm Next Door.

Grab a seat at the picnic benches beside the packhorse bridge, kick back and take in the panoramic views of the stunning countryside.

The cream teas have long been a welcome treat for walkers tackling the Coast to Coast walk, a long-distance trail stretching across northern England that passes Ravenseat Farm. Given the farm’s remote location, it’s a welcome stop for walkers looking to take a break and refuel along the way.

The Northern Echo reports that, while speaking at Our Farm Next Door: A Behind-the-Scenes Celebration at Everyman Northallerton on 30 September, Amanda joked about just how important the cream teas are, saying: “It’s an empire built on cups of tea, really, where any good…”

She continued: “We did cream teas initially on the Coast to Coast run. They stopped, but they’re back now. Edith is running that with the help of others.”

In what is set to be the show’s fourth series, filmed over the winter of 2025 and spring of 2026, we see Edith and her sisters preparing the cream tea van for its summer opening. And, judging by what we’ve seen on social media, it’s been a huge success over the summer.

Wise Owl Films said Edith has been balancing running the cream tea van with preparing for her exams.
